Heather is a dedicated healthcare professional and educator with over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, nursing instruction, and healthcare management. As a Registered Nurse with a Master’s of Nursing in Adult and Continuing Nursing Education, she brings a deep understanding of curriculum design, mentorship, and community health to the FOSCHSS team.
Currently serving as a Nursing Instructor at Mount Royal University, a role she has held for over 15 years. Heather is passionate about lifelong learning and empowering the next generation. Her professional background as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Manager has equipped her with unique skills in policy, chronic disease management, and team leadership, all of which she applies to help drive excellence at Springbank Community High School.
Heather’s commitment to education extends beyond the classroom; she is a firm believer in the power of community-led initiatives. By leveraging her expertise in training and development, she supports FOSCHSS in bridging the gap between standard school budgets and the high-end technical and physical education tools our students need to thrive.
